A special CBI court on Friday (April 28) cleared actor Sooraj Pancholi of the charge of abetting the suicide of actor Jiah Khan in 2013 due to lack of evidence

Abetment of suicide is a serious offence that is punishable by imprisonment up to ten years

Jiah's mother Rabia Khan responded by saying that she would approach the High Court regarding the issue of acquittal
